Saw a news article today about how Devs don't talk shop with gamers because gamers are all so toxic. Made me think about what's happening here right now and how maybe the article was right! Then i remembered that this game/community was Trash Panda! awesome until Gaz started to pull some shady, poorly informed, nonsense... so... maybe not always the gamers fault...

No idea what that's in reference to.

Sounds like he might think you're one of the secret mods recruited from the community.

Or referencing your comment where you tagged agent f.

Like he wasn't going to see the thread anyways. lol

Course i tagged him, lol. Forum warden sees everything in his block at some point, better to tag him and try to get them in there than just post into the wind.

Takes some balls to think that I, of all people, would be anti-player on any level, lol.

Durian Duche cake... i don't think they could receive a better gift, lol.

Ahh, the old "The gamers are mean to me, I'm not going to respond to them" spiel. If the devs even take offence to constructive criticism and only want to hear positive things from the audience, then I think that is more a reflection of what kind of devs they are rather than what kind of gamers play their game.

      I agree with Naxuus.
I am having an extremely positive communication with devs for Stellaris (my favorite game), and they've already implemented 90% of my suggestions from my huge list of QoL improvements and new features.
They are never bitter, they might have a bad day from time to time, but they always apologize and take another look at a request/feature.

I wish Gaz was like them, but no. That is why I am supporting them and not Gaz anymore.

Nax, it is only constructive criticism if they want to hear it, otherwise it is against ToS.

Secret World Legends Dev have been transparent and trying their best to listen to feedback, they even go as far as to livestream their fiscal responsibilities.

Crossout seems to also do a decent job of communication.

So far what I haven't seen from those properties is confrontational and abrasive language towards their playerbase.

If they keep shutting people out like that and keep repeating the mistakes of the past then they shouldn't be surprised by the responces they get from the community. It'll be a never-ending cycle until they look in the mirror and say: "Yup, we goofed."

      But what do I know.

I play Overwatch and there you got giant Trash Panda! Blizzard taking the time to respond to people on their forums and twitter. Hell they even put in developer comments into the patch notes to explain why they did changes to the player base. And sometimes they create youtube videos again to just explain things to the player base (all before they even put changes into their test server).

      Maybe it's all Marvel's fault?!
    • Kittyattack
      Kittyattack
It is partly Marvel's fault, because some of the stuff Gaz has to do is what Marvel tells them to do. But its a smaller percentage of Marvel's fault and majority still Gaz's fault. They have stopped listening to us for a long time.

I just need to know what counts as constructive, because there was a lot of constructive feedback left for the BUE patch and they didn't change any of it before the troubled patch went live.

I just think it means anything that's slightly critical anymore.

Well there isn't time nor will there be any real changes to Omega since they are shipping it out to consoles first, lol.
    • SouleBreaker
      SouleBreaker
Oh trust me, I didn't plan on leaving any feedback for it, haha. I've learned my lesson. Just let it be. That's what it'll be anyway.

I just want to know what their definition of constructive is, for curiosity reasons. Because it doesn't seem to jive with the actual definition.
  • Conspiracy time! Vanilla isn't really screwing up... and all these screwy posts are just there to keep people from being able to communicate properly and skew all the bitterness and bile.
