BUGGED? Neptune's Trident Lvl 80

NEPTUNE'S TRIDENT

Playing Colossus, I leveled Neptune's Trident first to Rank 3 then took a TTK test then did it again at Rank 5. There's no difference between having it at Rank 3 and having it fully ranked. I then noticed the following:

Rank 4: I've been testing it in the training room and I have not seen the Mystic Beams at all.

Rank 5: I can see the Tsunami graphically, but I'm not seeing any damage.

I'm only using my basic power when testing.

Yeah. I also posted it there just in case.

Yeah full summon. I thought it'll be a nice joke on Colossus but it ended up having decent dps. So, now I can go on a one-man party in CMM. :D

this would (partially) explain why Ultron's been underperfroming for me the last few times i tried using him. pre-BUE when he was my main, those Mystic Beams had been pretty helpful

I dislike a lot of things that buff you in a passive way like that, extra passive for summons I mean. It so hard to rely on it working right and there almost always feels like there is something wrong.

He has great DPS as summoner, but i prefer either Axe of Ares or Shield of Perseus since
the summons scale with all normal stats but Colossus himself gets nothing from summon

Saying that summoned items should have twice the dmg budget as normal dmg. I don't feel like this is even slightly true though. I haven't gone over every item everywhere, but last i checked none of my old summoner artifacts seemed to have held up well with the summoner changes. Anything that buffs summons specifically ends up giving you, at best, an 'on par' option.

There's almost no way anyone can gear for pure summoner anymore and it's a shame.

EDIT - I miss playing a summoner... Ultron is pretty good, but i miss the army style feel of Doom. I still find their 'this is a multiplayer game' argument to be specious and somewhat silly.

Yep. It's the pattern for this game. Get players used to a toon/mechanic then completely nerf it into oblivion in the name of 'balance'.

They should have just go the full way and totally remove summon damage and change
all summoner artifacts to normal damage or whatever .. at the moment at least all those
artifacts are more or less useless. Have an UEB on Squrriel Girl mostly because of her
spirit problems, but thats it.

That was true before the summon rework, but not anymore. Except Slot1-5 Armor enchant (and surely one or two more i missed) all summon damage affixe have been halved to fit the new paradigm. For instance, the trident gave a +100% summon damage (= 4000 summon DR) and now it's 2000 summon DR.

Oh, and about the trident, just checked a few minutes ago, rank4's beam do proc, but i have no idea whether it does deal damage or not. The rank 5 do proc but does nothing, no damage, no vulnerability.
